The Climax Playlist
“The climax” is a not so convincingly affirmative way (my way) of referring to the end of the summer season. I try to stay as positive as humanly possible during this time as the real world- as people over the age of 30 like to put it- awaits my trembling extremities. Don’t get me wrong, there are certain parts about college I love but the foreboding cloud that emerges over you upon entering is what frightens me the most. The ominous cloud of pressure in hopes to be successful. The word that everybody apparently has their own definition of because they taught us that in middle school, but deep down we know there is one overarching meaning. And we also know that meaning has to do with that sh*t that grows on trees, or less-likely, acquiring a sense of fame of some sort (whether that’s having kick-ass Insta engagement or getting your picture taken with the BFA watermark on it.) If you’re about to go back to college like me, then savor your last few weeks of self-rule by getting to blare your music at your own will. Seriously though. If you’re staying at home, then still blare your music as loud as possible just because you fucking can. And do yourself another favor, try out some of these songs. They are all equally as easy to snap your fingers to and will get your mood right back to where it was in June. Pinky promise.
Enjoy, and let me know which song is your favorite of them all.
